I’m not quite sure what made me want to illustrate the Manhattan skyline in lipsticks but I knew I wanted to do something lipstick related since the other week on July 29 when apparently it was National Lipstick Day. I swear there’s a national day for everything these days. January 21 is Squirrel Day. June 5 is Doughnut Day. August 17 is Thrift Store Day… Not that there’s anything wrong with celebrating any of these perfectly awesome things.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this one and I’m thinking of making this image and images like this into cell phone covers and prints.
