So here we are in the middle of November, that time when fall is almost winter and hats are becoming a given. I’m a hat person so that’s fine by me, and with this illustration, I thought I’d pay attention to a hat style I’ve always loved. The always cute — and for some reason never trendy (not that this is a bad thing) — Irish tweed cap. I especially like the ones that have patchwork detail, like the one pictured here. The even more traditional herringbone pattern is also nice though and I often wear one of those that used to belong to my grandfather. The native New Yorker in me can’t resist a bit of Ellis Island chic. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well — and staying warm.
