My friend Chuck helping me set up at Project Studios

Hello, all. Just wanted to mention that this week, I’ll be showing a number of my illustrations at Proto Gallery’s Project Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey. My exhibit, which will be one of dozens at Projects alone, will be a part of a citywide, weekend-long event called the Hoboken Artists Studio Tour.

I apologize for the last minute notice — I only found out about the event a few days ago and didn’t have long to organize some recent works for a show. However, if you’ll be in or near Hoboken Saturday, November 9 or Sunday, November 10, I hope you can stop by and say hello. Based on what I’ve seen today alone, there will be many incredibly talented artists showing their work, in most cases also offering tours of their studio spaces. At Projects, there are quite a few of those, since the building is home to dozens of artist workspaces — not to mention band rehearsal spaces — so it should make for a very inspired weekend. I’ll be on the third floor, and from what I’ve learned, one of the fourth floor studio tenants is “Project Runway” contestant Helen Castillo. Love her style!

The tour, which is sponsored by the city as well as the Hudson Reporter, is on from noon to 6 p.m. each day. Project Studios is located at 300 Observer Highway (Neumann Leathers building) on the third floor.
