Posting just a quick watercolor today, which I swear was not my intention. It's just that I promised myself I'd take a break from what I usually do which is use my paints and brushes to dutifully mimic photos or whatever I see in real time that I'm Inspired by. So this time, I kept things a little more simple and focused on contrast using just a few colors.

Pictured here is Alix Bancourt, the Paris-based blogger behind The Cherry Blossom Girl.

This has been one of my favorite fashion blogs for years since I'm a big fan of Bancourt's high-end, always romantic style. Think lots of Chanel, Chloe and Tara Jarmon and somehow there's always an occasion for a party dress and bows. In this illustration, she's wearing white fur, which for some reason, I seem to love painting. I just find the look of white fur very rock and roll as well as luxe, for some reason. And then of course there's the fact that it's stupidly easy--just resist the urge to color it in and you're done!
