It isn’t often you come across people who are just completely beautiful. I mean jaw-droppingly, traffic stoppingly beautiful. But Rihanna, the Barbados-born pop singer is one of them. And not only is she gorgeous, she’s also incredibly stylish. Her hair is always in some daring do, and she has a penchant for bright, bold dresses and makeup that plays up her cat-like eyes. Interestingly, yesterday in the NY Daily News, I happened to see a photo of Rihanna looking way more casual than she normally appears in the glossies, wearing a wrap dress and her hair wild while on the beach in Barbados.
I don’t even know why but I felt I had to capture the moment in watercolor. There was just something about it that exuded glamour, a very natural kind of glamour that you can’t even get from designer clothes or sky-high heels. Meanwhile, from what I’ve read (in a quote from Oprah who recently interviewed her) Rihanna’s still remarkably down to earth. But that’s about as much as I’m willing to analyze my taste at the moment. I’ll just end by saying I felt like illustrating someone so I did.
And enough about me, anyway. What about YOU? Any fashion/beauty muses inspiring you guys lately? Please do tell.
