Kayla and her mini-pal Dash in the Flatiron District

I know it’s September and the glory that is fall fashion is finally upon us, but I couldn’t resist sneaking in one more girl of summer onto my canvas and on this blog. When I saw this girl, whose name is Kayla, on the street in the Flatiron District last month, I thought she really embodied New York summer style, comfortable and casual but still girlie in a maxi length dress, sun hat and some cute company in the form of her dog, Dash. So I chased her down the street and asked for her pic so I could illustrate her and she graciously obliged.
