Okay, originally this post was going to be of a watercolor I made yesterday to go with a rock goddess themed musing I had in mind, but… my scanner won’t work. It’s not broken; it just needs to be hooked up. In the meantime, here’s another watercolor I recently found in a beat up folder under my bed, which contained some of my old artwork.

As I recall, I made this in 1996 using a kiddie watercolor set from the supermarket. Anyway it’s based on a photo of this girl I knew as she sat smoking in Tompkins Square Park. I just loved how her pink hair matched her lips. And who needs to worry about matching accessories to your outfit when you’ve got piercings? Oh those 1990s. Flannel shirts, messy hair, Doc Martens. Interesting how these things have made  a comeback now too.
